Hours before the sunrise, Alex, Triston, Annie and a group of enthusiastic students climbed the mountain behind their village. The path up the mountain was steep, and they have to rely on teamwork to help one another to climb up safely. Little did they realise that they are about to catch one of the most beautiful sunrises in their life.

Every sunrise symbolises a brand new day and a brand new life. They were all in awe when they saw the beauty of Mother Nature right before their eyes.

These are some of the photos taken by these students:
Even though they have been living in this camp for years, they told us that it is their first time that they ever saw sunrise and they felt really inspired by Mother Nature.
We continued our workshop in the afternoon where we reviewed their photographs that they have taken over the past 3 days.
There is a computer room at the camp. In this small and cramped room, they presented their photographs and shared their stories behind it. Some of their thoughts and photographs were close to their heart and we thought that they were well-taken for beginners who had just started photography for a short span of time.
After our dinner, a group of 20s-30s refugees came to our hut. We chatted and they shared with us their dreams and thoughts of being a refugee. They have lost their sense of identity and hope. Some of them are looking forward to the third country, while others wish that they can return to their "real" home.
We learnt that these refugees are well educated in collegues and universities, but due to the political problems, they had to be dropped out of school and become refugees in this camp. |
